Citizens Advice 1066 is seeking to procure the services of a suitably qualified supplier of community energy advice services who, as part of a company or organisation, can deliver a low-carbon home demonstration event combined with a community engagement programme focused on behaviour change related to efficient energy consumption. The campaign will involve the promotion of community-led energy initiatives and the design of an effective community engagement strategy that will achieve an increased uptake of renewable energy systems and energy saving home improvements in a target district to reduce carbon. To achieve this, the community energy advice service provider will deliver energy saving advice to residents; recruit, train and mentor local volunteer energy champions and contractors; and manage regular community engagement activities (including pop-up energy information stands, public events and a digital platform). They will need to be able to evaluate, monitor and report on neighbourhood energy improvements, including recording annual savings in kilowatt hours, carbon equivalent savings and cost savings, and providing qualitative reports on the efficacy of behaviour change models and tools piloted during the project.
